Tri-Onic TRS-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TRS-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.

Current-limiting Amp-Trap A2K-R fuses provide excellent protection where high available short-circuit currents exist. These fast-acting fuses are particularly good for branch/feeder circuits and back-up protection.

Amp-Trap fast-acting A4J fuses deliver excellent current-limiting protection to a wide variety of applications. Their unique dimensions prevent the substitution of other fuses with lower voltage ratings, interrupting ratings, or current-limiting capability.

Mersen's wide range of handles for our Low Voltage Disconnect switches includes direct-mount, selector-style, and pistol-style in different lengths. Many of these handles have locking capabilities and are available in different colors and IP and NEMA ratings. We also have metal handles and special handles for flange-mounting.

Mersen aM and gG fuse-links cover a wide range of physical sizes and ampere ratings for 400, 500, and 690VAC for protection in electrical distribution circuits and various industrial applications. Most ratings are available in size 8x31 and size 10x38 with an optional indicator, and in size 14x51 and 22x58 with an optional striker to activate an auxiliary contact. All cylindrical fuse-links have ceramic bodies and silver-plated ferrules. Cylindrical fuse-links gG are used for the protection of cables, motors and LV-networks. They limit and cut off unacceptable overcurrents and short-circuit currents up to their nominal breaking capacity. Cylindrical fuse-links gG also protect electrical equipment and installations against the dynamic effect of high short-currents. Our technology and process was designed to ensure highly reliable technical performance.

The 690/700V Protistor® fuse-links provide maximum flexibility in equipment design and ultimate protection for today's power conversion equipment. These aR ultra-fast acting square body fuse-links are available in different body sizes, each size having multiple worldwide acceptable mounting styles. They have been engineered to provide state-of-the-art protection for semiconductors diodes, thyristors and IGBT devices. They are assembled with die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, which helps control arcing characteristics for a lower I²t and high interrupting rating level. All contact surfaces are silver plated and all hardware is non-magnetic. Each fuse-link can be equipped with a low voltage trip-indicator which can operate a field mountable microswitch.

Mersen UltraSafe Modular 600 Volt Fuse Holders for Class J fuses introduce a new level of safety and ease for installing or replacing Class J fuses. UltraSafe holders qualify as “finger-safe” to an IP20 grade of protection under IEC standards. The US3J accommodates 30A Class J or 22 x 58 mm French Ferrule, fuses. The US6J is for 60A Class J fuses. UltraSafe holders are available in compact 1, 2, or 3 pole units, with or without blown-fuse indicators in each pole. Multi-pole units can also be made up in the field by using the multiplepole Assembly Kits. All units have provisions for locking in the open position for safety during fuse changeouts or equipment servicing. US3J and US6J holders can be snap-mounted to 35 mm DIN-rail and they have a unique latch which will stay open to allow re-positioning of the holder in the future. Amp-Trap 2000 A4BQ fuses are 20 percent more current limiting than any other Class L fuse on the market. When correctly coordinated, they bring a superior level of protection to service entrance equipment. Downstream circuit components have maximum protection against short circuit let-thru current. A4BQ's built-in 4-second time-delay characteristic (at 500percent of rated current) accommodates harmless inrush currents with no nuisance opening.

The NH system is classified among plug-in fuse systems and is composed of: fuse-base (possibly including terminal covers and phase barriers) fuse-link with blade contact fuse-link replacement device (LV HRC fuse puller) Since the design of this system cannot guarantee non-interchangeability of rated current it must be handled by a qualified professional. Type gG NH fuse-links are full range breaking capacity fuse-links and are used to protect cables and equipment. They can interrupt any current surge, from the lowest fusing current up to their breaking capacity, and so can be used alone as protection. They also protect electrical devices and industrial set-ups from the electrodynamic effects of very high short-circuit currents.

A50P Amp-Trap® Form 101 high speed fuses were developed for DC drives, uninterruptable power supplies and similar applications requiring better protection (lower I2t) and superior reliability. The A50P is typically used for replacement.

A70QS Amp-Trap® high speed fuses were developed in response to the need for improved overall performance of 700V semiconductor fuses for new equipment requirements. A70QS fuses have lower I2t for better protection, longer life when subjected to cyclic loading, plus lower watts loss. A70QS is the best choice to protect dynamic solid state equipment such as motor drives, UPS, etc.

Mersen's finger safe IP20-rated Power Distribution Blocks are part of the new Compact EP® line of products. The compact footprint allows space savings in panels, contributing to reduced panel size when compared to traditional power distribution blocks. The Compact PDB is ideal for low voltage applications. Rated for UL-600V, ampere range of 85-250A, it can accommodate wire ranges AWG 18-3/0, catering to a wide range of low voltage applications. The PDBs can be DIN rail mounted, are dual wire rated, and are capable of DLO wire acceptance allowing ease of installation. Translucent covers allow visual inspection of wire termination points and wiring configurations.

One-Time OTS general purpose fuses provide low cost protection for feeder and branch-circuits serving lighting, heating, and other non-motor loads. OTS fuses will safely interrupt available short circuit currents up to 50,000 amperes in all ratings. OTS fuses are not rejection fuses and care should be taken to ensure that replacement fuses do not have lower interrupting ratings than original fuses.
