The ABB PSTX170-600-70 softstarter is designed for high-performance motor starting applications. It boasts a rated maximum operational current of 170 A and an operating voltage span from 208 V to 600 V AC, with a control voltage range between 100 V and 250 V AC at 50/60 Hz.
The PSTX softstarter features a three-phase control for smooth start and stop operations through a voltage or torque ramp. It comes with built-in bypass for easy installation and energy saving, as well as relay outputs for RUN, TOR, and Event signals in the NO state.
The PSTX softstarter is equipped with various functions such as current limit, kickstart, analog output, EOL, motor heating, and pump cleaning. It also offers features like jog, braking, stand-still brake, diagnostics, sequence start, and emergency/fire pump mode.
The PSTX softstarter comes with a detachable full graphic display featuring IP66 and 4x outdoor rating. Communication options include hardwire inputs for Start/Stop/Reset of fault, programmable digital inputs, built-in Fieldbus communication Modbus RTU, and optional ANYBUS modules with various protocols like Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP, and others.
The ABB PSTX170-600-70 softstarter is suitable for medium to large-sized three-phase motors with nominal currents from 30 to 1250 A inline connection or 52 to 2160 A inside delta connection. It's ideal for applications such as pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors.
