AF09 contactors are specifically engineered for controlling power circuits, capable of handling up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. These contactors find their primary application in managing 3-phase motors and non-inductive or slightly inductive loads.

The AF series of contactors is characterized by its electronic coil interface, which accepts a broad range of control voltages from 24 to 500 V at 50/60 Hz or 20 to 500 V DC. This flexibility allows for the management of large variations in control voltage without any need for coil changes.

AF contactors come equipped with built-in surge protection, eliminating the requirement for additional surge suppressors. They are designed in a block type design, featuring three main poles and one built-in auxiliary contact. Additionally, they offer front and side-mounted add-on auxiliary contact blocks, which are mechanically linked and comply with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1.

AF contactors can be operated using either AC or DC power sources. A wide range of accessories is available for these contactors. However, it's important to note that AF..-30-..-11 models are not suitable for direct control by PLC outputs.
