The ECDX Series of customized welded steel enclosures are designed for specific applications, including the housing of terminal blocks, control units, breakers, starters, relays, and meters. These enclosures are constructed from gray painted mechanically welded steel, equipped with stainless steel hardware, ensuring durability and longevity in demanding environments.

These enclosures are suitable for use in hazardous locations classified under ATEX/IECEx certifications, specifically for Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22, with ratings of Ex II 2 GD and IP66. The enclosures can withstand ambient temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +55 °C (-4 °F to +131 °F) and are compliant with temperature classes T6 to T4 for CMS Zones 1 and 2. Additionally, surface temperatures for Zones 21 and 22 can vary from T80 °C to T130 °C (T176 °F to T266 °F).

Customization options include indirect cable entries via Ex e connection enclosures, factory assembly and wiring, switch rack assemblies, and empty enclosures with Ex U component marking. These features allow for flexibility in various industrial applications, particularly within the oil and gas sector.
