This design prevents the use of standard plugs, ensuring that only safe connections are established in potentially dangerous settings.

This product is rated for Class I, Division 1 Groups B, C, D; Class I, Division 2 Groups B, C, D; Class II, Division 1 and 2 Groups F, G; and Class III hazardous areas, adhering to NEMA 3 and 3R standards. The amperage rating is 20, with voltage options of 125 Vac or 250 Vac. It consists of 3 poles and 2 wires, supporting horsepower ratings of 1 or 2. Constructed from malleable iron for the U-Line™ M series mounting boxes and receptacle covers, the finish includes a three-layer coating of zinc electroplate, chromate, and epoxy powder coat.
