The ATX JBEP Series terminal junction boxes are constructed from static resistant carbon filled fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), ensuring durability and safety in electrical applications. These enclosures are factory drilled and equipped, ideal for use in hazardous environments, specifically in Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22.
Designed for motor and power distribution, these boxes accommodate various terminal configurations ranging from 16mm² to 240mm², suitable for both armored and un-armored cables. The enclosures feature options such as external hinges, removable gland plates, terminal rails, and an inside pocket for documentation, which can be customized according to specific requirements.
Temperature ratings for these enclosures include a Class T6 for ambient temperatures up to +40 °C (+104 °F) and T5 for +60 °C (+140 °F). The surface temperature can reach T60 °C (T140 °F) under similar ambient conditions. Furthermore, they maintain operational integrity across a wide ambient temperature range of -55 °C to +60 °C (-67 °F to +140 °F).
Certification standards include NEC/CEC classifications for Class I, Zone 1, AEx e IIC, T5 or T6, as well as ATEX/IECEx certifications for Zones 1 and 2, 21 and 22, confirming compliance with stringent safety regulations.
