The Class 3400 Smart Meter (H34) is designed to facilitate advanced dual protocol communications, allowing for simultaneous interface with two energy monitoring systems. This includes compatibility with Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy monitoring and billing, as well as Measurement and Verification (M&V) reporting tools.

This submeter features an optional expanded package that includes built-in load control capabilities and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh measurements. The device is equipped with a 4-line LCD display that is backlit for enhanced visibility, and it supports RS485 and Ethernet communication protocols.

With dimensions of 6.5 inches in width, 7.8 inches in height, and a depth of 3.4 inches, the meter is housed in a JIC Steel enclosure. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -4 °F to 122 °F and can handle a maximum humidity of 95% non-condensing. The Class 3400 is approved under ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL standards, ensuring its reliability in commercial and industrial applications.
