The Niagara Device is an optimized plant controller that supports peer-to-peer communication for efficient data exchange between controllers. It comes with 1+3 Ethernet interfaces (1 x Isolated & 3 x Switched), allowing daisy chain connection and rapid spanning tree protocol (RSTP) for network redundancy.

The device features multi-color LEDs to indicate operational status, including isolated RS485 communications, HMI device, Ethernet connection, and controller service state. All RS485 channels support panel bus, BACnet™ MS/TP, Modbus RTU, and M-Bus for enhanced protocol integration.

The built-in web server with HTML5 enables remote access and graphical monitoring. The device also features an RJ11 interface for HMI device connectivity in field operations and Touchflake connectors for expansion with additional RS485 I/O modules.

DHCP support is available for automatic IP address allocation. Powered by an industrial-grade quad-core processor (i.MX 8M Plus Arm® Cortex®-A53, 1.2 GHz), the device ensures high-performance operation. It runs on Ubuntu Core OS with a secure modular container-based design for enhanced cybersecurity.

The FRAM memory stores real-time controller data, preserving values in case of power loss. The device offers flexible mounting options: DIN rail or wall mounting, in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
