The S437 and S637 Sail Switches are designed to activate based on the air velocity in HVAC ducts. These switches complete a 24V or line voltage control circuit exclusively when the airflow generated by the blower or fan reaches a specified velocity.
With a maximum operating ambient temperature of 150 °F (66 °C), these switches are built for reliable performance in various environments. The overall dimensions are 2.9375 inches in width, 3.75 inches in height, and 2 inches in depth, allowing for straightforward horizontal mounting. The adjustable switch differential ranges from 550 to 900 feet per minute (2.8 to 4.6 m/s), providing flexibility in application settings.
The velocity setpoint range operates between 1900 and 2250 feet per minute (9.7 to 11.4 m/s) with a standard sail size, which can vary based on the differential setting. Each unit includes a standard sail measuring 1 inch by 3 inches (25 mm by 76 mm). The product action is configured as a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) normally open switch, ensuring effective control mechanism integration.
