The Keyence GL-R72H Hand-protection Light Curtain is designed to provide superior safety and protection in industrial environments. Featuring 72 optical axes, this light curtain offers a detection capability of ø25 mm and a total length of 1440mm, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reliable performance. The detection height of 1420mm and protection height of 1465mm make it ideal for safeguarding large areas.
Equipped with an infrared LED light source (870 nm), the GL-R72H ensures precise and accurate detection with an effective aperture angle of up to ±2.5°. The light curtain supports both optical and wire synchronization, preventing mutual interference in up to two GL-R systems. The control output includes two transistor outputs (PNP or NPN), with a maximum load current of 500 mA, ensuring robust and reliable operation.
The GL-R72H complies with stringent safety standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL61496-1 (Type 4 ESPE), IEC61496-2, EN61496-2, UL61496-2 (Type 4 AOPD), IEC61508, EN61508 (SIL3), and EN ISO13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PLe). It also features an IP65/IP67 enclosure rating, ensuring durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions.
The light curtain is designed for easy integration and maintenance, with features such as reverse current protection, short-circuit protection, and surge protection for each output. The power supply requirement is 24 VDC ±20%, with a current consumption of 75 mA for the transmitter and 85 mA for the receiver.
