The Keyence SL-C48H is a high-performance safety light curtain designed for general-purpose applications. Featuring 48 optical axes, this unit ensures precise and reliable detection with a detection capability of ø25 mm. The light source is an infrared LED (850 nm), providing a robust and consistent detection zone of 940 mm and a protection area of 985 mm.
The SL-C48H operates with a response time of 15 ms and an effective aperture angle of ±2.5° when the operating distance is at least 3 meters. It is designed to be turned on when light is applied to all optical axes, excluding when the blanking function is used. The unit supports both PNP and NPN output types, which can be switched using the connection connector cable, and can handle a maximum load current of 300 mA.
Built to withstand harsh industrial environments, the SL-C48H features an enclosure rating of IP65 and complies with multiple safety standards, including UL61496-1 (type 4 ESPE) and UL61496-2 (type 4 AOPD). The unit is resistant to environmental factors such as ambient light, temperature variations, humidity, vibration, and shock, ensuring reliable performance in demanding conditions.
Constructed with durable materials, the main unit case is made of aluminum, while the upper and lower cases are zinc die-cast, and the front cover is polycarbonate. The SL-C48H is lightweight, with the transmitter weighing approximately 615 g and the receiver approximately 675 g.
