The Type S NEMA motor starter is designed for the full voltage starting and stopping of AC squirrel cage motors, accommodating ratings up to 810 amperes. This specific non-reversing model is classified as Size 3 with a 90 ampere capacity, effectively managing 3-phase ratings of 25 HP at 200 VAC, 30 HP at 230 VAC, and 50 HP at both 460 and 575 VAC.
Equipped with a Motor Logic overload relay, it provides overcurrent protection across a range of 30A to 90A. The unit features a maximum Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) of 100 kA per UL508A standards when used with appropriate circuit protection devices. The starter operates with a 120VAC coil and is housed in a NEMA 1 painted sheet steel enclosure, measuring 21.81 inches in height, 11.44 inches in width, and 8.38 inches in depth.
This starter is UL listed and CSA certified, ensuring compliance with industry standards. A variety of replaceable coils are available to suit different voltage requirements, and numerous accessories can be integrated to enhance functionality.
