The 8903L series multipole lighting contactors are specifically engineered for lighting control applications, offering robust performance in a variety of installations.
Available in both mechanically held and electrically held configurations, this device utilizes a mechanical latching mechanism to maintain its state. It is designed to handle loads up to 30A of fluorescent lighting and 20A of tungsten lighting. The contact configuration offers field convertibility from normally open (NO) to normally closed (NC), providing operational flexibility.
This particular unit features an 8-pole design, incorporating eight NO contacts for broad application suitability. It is supplied with two operating coils: one for latching the contactor and another for unlatching. Both coils are rated at 110/120 VAC, operating on a frequency of 50/60 Hz. A wide range of alternative coil voltages, up to 600VAC, are also available.
The contactor is supplied in an open-style enclosure, facilitating ease of inspection and maintenance. Enclosure options are readily available for diverse environmental requirements. The design allows for straightforward replacement of coils and contacts, minimizing downtime.
Specifications: The unit measures 8.81 inches (223.8 mm) in height, 5.63 inches (142.9 mm) in width, and 3.25 inches (82.5 mm) in depth. The 8903L lighting contactors are both UL Listed and CSA Certified for safety and compliance.
