The active harmonic filter is engineered to enhance power quality by correcting power factors and mitigating harmonics within electrical networks. Designed for heavy industrial applications, this unit operates effectively under harsh conditions. It features a standard output current of 157 Amps and is suitable for low voltage networks rated between 480 to 600 Volts.
Housed in a UL Type 12 enclosure, this filter offers a high degree of protection, comparable to IP54 standards, ensuring reliability in demanding environments. The enclosure dimensions are 1400 mm in width, 600 mm in depth, and 2100 mm in height, with a total weight of 653 kg. The light grey RAL 7035 finish is suitable for various installation settings.
Performance metrics include a total harmonic distortion current (THDi) of 3% or less, meeting critical standards including CE, UL, and IBC 2015 AC156. This unit has been designed to comply with IEC standards such as IEC 62477-1 and IEC 61000-6-4, ensuring compatibility with a range of electrical systems. Up to 10 units of different ratings can be paralleled to achieve a maximum compensation of 3000A per current transformer set.
The active harmonic filter operates at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C, with a maximum of 50 °C when derating at 2% per °C.
