The Modicon MCM Safe Mixed I/O Expansion Module is designed to monitor remotely your safe I/O. It features 8 digital inputs, 2 start/restart interlock inputs, and 2 output OSSD pairs, with captive spring clamp terminals for easy electrical connection.
This module is IP20 rated and comes with a removable terminal block for enhanced flexibility. It also offers configurable filters and delays for each single input, independent control of pairs of outputs, and configurable diagnostic output signals.
The module weighs 0.25kg and has dimensions of 22.5mm (Depth), 99mm (Height), and 114.5mm (Width). It is powered with 24 VDC and comes with LEDs on its front face to display the status.
This safe I/O module is certified by RCM, CULus, and TÜV and can reach such safety levels as category 4 conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, PLe conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, Type 4 conforming to EN/IEC 61496-1, and SILCL3 conforming to IEC 62061.
The module is compatible with accessories like a memory card and the backplane connector. It installs on Omega 35mm DIN rail conforming to EN 50022. The Modicon MCM modular safety controller system provides flexibility and scalability from 8 inputs, 2 dual/4 single channel outputs up to 128 inputs, 16 dual/32 single channel outputs, and up to 32 or 48 diagnostic status outputs.
