The XS7 inductive proximity sensor is specifically designed for detecting metallic objects without physical contact. This non-contact sensing capability minimizes wear and allows for the detection of delicate or freshly painted items. With a compact size of 40 mm x 40 mm x 117 mm, this sensor supports flush mounting in metal installations.
Constructed from durable PBT plastic, it features a five-position turret head for flexible cable connections and an ISO M20 cable entry. The sensor operates on a two-wire DC supply, accommodating voltages from 12V to 48V, and is equipped with reverse polarity protection. Its output can be configured as either normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).
Designed to withstand challenging industrial environments, this sensor is fully encapsulated in resin and offers an IP67 protection rating, ensuring reliability against dust and immersion in water. The operational temperature range spans from -25°C to 70°C, making it suitable for various applications. The XS7 model includes a status LED for monitoring output state and features a rapid response time with a maximum delay of 1.2 ms, ensuring high operational efficiency.
Additional specifications include a maximum switching frequency of 300 Hz and a reliable switching capacity of 1.5 to 100 mA, further enhancing its utility in automation processes. This product complies with multiple certifications, including CCC, CSA, and UL, ensuring adherence to international safety and performance standards.
