The Siemens 3TL6113-0AG2 is a high-voltage vacuum contactor rated at 450A and 7.2 kV, designed for industrial medium-voltage switchgear applications. Featuring a central terminal strip and a 4NO+3NC configuration, this contactor is engineered for reliable performance in demanding environments.
Construction and Operation
Utilizing advanced vacuum interrupters, the 3TL6113-0AG2 ensures efficient arc-quenching, supporting high switching rates of up to 1 million electrical cycles or 3 million mechanical cycles. The electromagnetic operating mechanism, combined with an integral rocker or drive lever, provides dependable operation. A mechanical closing latch maintains the contactor in the closed position without continuous power, enhancing energy efficiency.
Safety and Protection
While the contactor is not designed to switch short-circuit currents, it requires high-voltage HRC fuses or circuit breakers for short-circuit protection. Minimal current chopping (≤5 A) and optional surge limiters (SIOV and spark gaps) help prevent overvoltages when switching accelerated motors.
Installation and Applications
The 3TL6113-0AG2 can be installed in vertical or horizontal positions, accommodating site-specific requirements.
