The SMC MGPM-Z Standard Guided Cylinder is a compact guide cylinder designed to deliver high performance and reliability in various industrial applications. This upgraded version of the MGP Series features a shorter guide rod and thinner plate, resulting in up to 17% weight reduction and significant space savings. The MGPM-Z is equipped with slide bearings, ensuring smooth operation suitable for pusher and lifter applications.
One of the standout features of the MGPM-Z is the ability to mount round auto switches directly onto the cylinder without the need for mounting brackets, reducing labor costs and minimizing the risk of incorrect positioning. The cylinder also supports SMC's two-color indication solid state auto switch, D-M9*W, for enhanced accuracy.
The MGPM-Z offers a variety of standard feature options, including three types of bearings, four mount designs, and piping from two directions. It is available in copper and fluorine-free versions, making it suitable for use in general automation, automotive, and other industries. Applications include acting as a stopper where shock is applied, minimizing plate displacement, and handling lateral loads.
