The 062 Soc.Ass. Typ3+ - Type III Loose Piece Contacts are precision-formed to accommodate size 16 connections. These contacts exhibit a high normal force which results in reduced electrical resistance, thereby enhancing performance in signal applications. The closed-ended mating entry effectively mitigates the risk of damage caused by misalignment during connection.

Constructed with a brass base material, the contacts are plated with gold to a thickness of 30 µin at the mating area, ensuring optimal conductivity. The termination area also features a gold flash plating, facilitating reliable crimp termination for wire sizes between 18 and 15 AWG, or 0.75 to 1.5 mm². The contacts accept wire insulation diameters ranging from 2.01 to 2.49 mm (0.079 to 0.098 in).

These contacts are packaged in bags containing 200 units, making them suitable for bulk applications. The design is specifically tailored for integration with regular wire types, providing a robust solution for various circuit applications.
