The Schneider Electric Altivar Machine ATV340 is a robust, heavy-duty variable speed drive capable of feeding 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors in open and closed loop control. It boasts a rated power of up to 11kW / 15hp and operates at a voltage range from 380V to 480V AC.
Designed for applications in harsh environments, the ATV340 is resistant to vibration, shock, non-conductive dust, and high temperatures up to 60 °C. It integrates Modbus serial line communication protocols as standard and features multi-protocol Ethernet embedded, including Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP communication interfaces.
With a weight of 9.5kg and dimensions of 180mm wide, 385mm high, and 249mm deep, the ATV340 is suitable for common applications such as packaging, material handling, material working, and hoisting. It conforms to international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions), IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, IEC 13849-1. It is also CE, UL, CSA, and TÜV certified.
Accessories such as encoder interface modules, I/O expansion modules, communication modules, braking resistors, line chokes, and additional EMC filters are available for the ATV340 drive, depending on the drive rating. The drive can be mounted in a vertical position (+/- 10 °) on a panel thanks to four fixing holes.
The Altivar Machine ATV340 is fully integrated into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine through DTM, allowing for configuration, control, and diagnosis directly in SoMachine and SoMove software using the same software brick (DTM).
