ABB AF09ZB-30-10RT-22

The AF09ZB..RT 3-pole contactors are compliant with the latest railway rolling stock standards, enabling their installation in passenger or driver cabins for trains operating frequently through tunnels or undergrounds. These contactors are primarily used for controlling 3-phase motors and power circuits up to 690V AC and 220V DC.

Their compact design reduces the width required by 15% without spacing, from -40°C to +70°C. They meet all main rolling stock standards including IEC 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-5-1, IEC 60077-1/-2 and applicable parts of EN 50155 standards. They also withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 61373 cat. 1, class B.

These contactors are fire and smoke resistant, complying with European standard EN 45545-2 (HL2, HL3 hazard levels) in group mounting. They also reduce train energy consumption by using lighter devices that require 68% less coil energy during operation.

The electronic coil interface can handle large DC voltage fluctuations and accepts several Uc DC control voltages used for battery supply. It also accepts sinusoidal AC 50/60 Hz control supplies within the Ucmin...Ucmax voltage range. The maximum permitted AC 50/60 Hz control voltage should not be exceeded (see technical data).

A wide range of auxiliary contact blocks are available for front and side mounting.
