Appleton™ explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof EDS Series factory sealed tumbler switches confine the arcing of enclosed switches, preventing ignition of ignitable atmospheres during connect and disconnect operation of lighting and light power loads. They are designed for use in classified areas where ignitable vapors, gases or highly combustible dusts are present such as chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries and other process industries.- Part Number

- Malleable iron body and covers. Copperfree (4/10 of 1% max.) aluminum sealing chamber (on select models). Nylon 6/6 handle. Corrosion resistant stainless steel nameplate mounting bracket (optional)

- Tumbler switches have a triple-coat finish (1) zinc electroplate, (2) chromate, and (3) epoxy powder coat
- Option Materials
- 1- or 2-gang copperfree (4/10 of 1% max.) aluminum bodies and covers available. See catalog pages for details
- Nameplate Mounting Bracket
- Make circuit description/identification easy and eliminate costly field installation (drilling/tapping) to accommodate circuit identification nameplates by using our bracket accessory. See catalog.
