The Keyence GL-R20H Safety Light Curtain is designed to provide robust hand protection with its 20 optical axes, ensuring a high level of safety in industrial environments. This main unit features a detection capability of ø25 mm and a total length of 400 mm, making it suitable for various applications requiring precise and reliable detection.
With a detection height of 380 mm and a protection height of 425 mm, the GL-R20H offers comprehensive coverage. The beam axis spacing is 20 mm with a lens diameter of ø5, allowing for accurate detection over a distance of 0.2 to 15 meters. The effective aperture angle is a maximum of ±2.5° when the operating distance is 3 meters or more.
The light source is an infrared LED (870 nm), and the response time varies depending on the synchronization system used. The GL-R20H supports both optical and wire synchronization, preventing mutual interference in up to two GL-R systems. The control output includes two transistor outputs (PNP or NPN), with a maximum load current of 500 mA.
Designed for industrial robustness, the GL-R20H features an enclosure rating of IP65/IP67, ensuring protection against dust and water ingress. It complies with multiple safety standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL61496-1 (Type 4 ESPE), IEC61496-2, EN61496-2, UL61496-2 (Type 4 AOPD), IEC61508, EN61508 (SIL3), IEC62061, EN62061 (SIL CL3), and EN ISO13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PLe).
