The Keyence GL-R23F Safety Light Curtain is a robust and reliable safety solution designed to protect operators and machinery. Featuring a finger-protection type with 23 optical axes, this main unit ensures precise detection with a capability of ø14 mm. The total length of 240 mm and a detection height of 220 mm make it suitable for various industrial applications.
The GL-R23F utilizes an infrared LED light source (870 nm) and offers both wire and optical synchronization options, ensuring seamless integration and preventing mutual interference in up to two GL-R systems. The light curtain's effective aperture angle is a maximum of ±2.5° when the operating distance is 3 meters or more.
With a protection rating of IP65/IP67, the GL-R23F is built to withstand harsh environments. It complies with multiple safety standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL61496-1 (Type 4 ESPE), and EN ISO13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PLe). The unit also features reverse current protection, short-circuit protection, and surge protection for each output, ensuring reliable performance.
The GL-R23F's control output includes two transistor outputs (PNP or NPN), with a maximum load current of 500 mA. It also offers supplemental AUX transistor outputs for non-safety-related functions. The power supply requires 24 VDC ±20%, with a maximum current consumption of 50 mA for the transmitter and 70 mA for the receiver.
