The Keyence GL-R88H Safety Light Curtain is designed to provide high-resolution detection and protection in industrial environments. With 88 optical axes and a detection capability of ø 25 mm, this light curtain ensures precise and reliable safeguarding of hazardous areas. The total length of 1760 mm and a protection height of 1785 mm make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
The GL-R88H features an infrared LED light source (870 nm) and offers a detection range of 0.2 to 15 meters. It supports both optical and wired synchronization between the transmitter and receiver, ensuring seamless operation even in complex setups. The system includes a light interference prevention function, allowing up to two GL-R systems to operate without mutual interference.
For enhanced safety, the GL-R88H complies with various international standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL61496-1 (Type 4 ESPE), IEC61496-2, EN61496-2, UL61496-2 (Type 4 AOPD), IEC61508, EN61508 (SIL3), IEC62061, EN62061 (SIL CL3), and EN ISO13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PL e). It also meets EMC and EMI standards, ensuring reliable performance in various industrial environments.
The unit is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an IP65/IP67 protection rating, and is resistant to vibrations and shocks. The main unit housing is made of aluminum, with a nylon (GF 30%) top and bottom cover, and a polycarbonate front cover.
