The Keyence SZ-01S Main Unit is a high-performance, single-function safety laser scanner designed to enhance workplace safety and efficiency. This compact and robust device offers precise detection capabilities with a minimum detectable object size ranging from 30 mm to 150 mm, depending on the setting. The SZ-01S features a wide detectable angle of 270°, ensuring comprehensive coverage and protection in various industrial environments.
Equipped with an infrared laser diode, the SZ-01S operates at a wavelength of 905 nm and is classified as a Class 1 Laser Product, complying with IEC 60825-1 and FDA (CDRH) Part 1040.10 standards. The scanner's response time varies between 60 ms to 528 ms, depending on the scan cycle, ensuring rapid and accurate detection of potential hazards.
The SZ-01S offers a maximum protection zone of up to 4.2 meters and a warning zone of up to 10 meters, providing ample safety coverage for various applications. The device's enclosure is rated IP65, ensuring resistance to dust and water ingress, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. Additionally, the SZ-01S is compliant with multiple safety standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL 61496-1, IEC61508, EN61508, IEC62061, EN62061, and EN ISO13849-1:2015.
