The Power Distribution Block (PDB) complies with UL 1953 standards and is engineered for safe cable splicing, effectively distributing primary power into secondary circuits. It meets the spacing requirements as outlined in UL508A and the National Electrical Code®.

This model supports primary inputs with up to 30 secondary outputs, and it is available in both aluminum and copper configurations. The block allows for the addition of optional adder poles, facilitating customization of wire combinations for increased flexibility without the need for tools.

Constructed with virtually unbreakable glass-filled polycarbonate insulators, the block provides enhanced safety and shock resistance, particularly with the optional hinged safety covers that can be installed effortlessly. The rated voltage for both AC and DC applications is 1000V, accommodating a maximum temperature of 80 °C.

In terms of short circuit ratings, this block is capable of handling up to 400 kA, ensuring reliability in various operational conditions. The connectors are tin-plated aluminum, supporting both solid and stranded conductors, with a torque rating of 120 for larger wire sizes.

For additional specifications, the block features a mounting method via direct screw, maintains a flammability rating of 94 V-0, and includes a test probe hole for circuit verification. The MPDB series thus offers a comprehensive solution for power distribution needs.
