The MACX MCR-EX-IDS-I-I is an Ex i output signal conditioner that provides HART transparency, enabling the isolation and transmission of current signals from 0/4 mA to 20 mA with intrinsic safety in explosive areas. It incorporates three-way electrical isolation, ensuring robust protection and reliability.

This device includes line fault detection, which can be deactivated using a DIP switch. It complies with SIL 2 (SC3) according to IEC 61508 standards, making it suitable for safety-critical applications. The signal transmission behavior maintains a direct relationship between input and output, with a step response time of less than 140 µs for a 4 mA to 20 mA change.

Operating within a nominal supply voltage of 24 V DC, the MACX MCR-EX-IDS-I-I offers a wide supply voltage range of 19.2 V DC to 30 V DC and consumes a maximum of 45 mA at 20 mA output. It supports a current input signal of up to 30 mA and features an input impedance greater than 1 MΩ. Output load capacity ranges from 100 Ω to 700 Ω, while the output ripple remains below 20 mVrms.

Designed for DIN rail mounting, this device adheres to stringent environmental standards, with an operational temperature range of -40 °C to 45 °C and a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C. The enclosure is rated IP20, and the housing material is PA 6.6-FR, providing durability and flammability resistance.
