The Altivar 212 variable speed drive is engineered for feeding three-phase asynchronous motors, boasting an IP55 protection index and an integrated EMC filter. This robust device operates at a rated power of up to 7.5kW/10hp and supports a voltage range from 380V to 480V AC.
Its design is rooted in eco-energy principles, reducing energy consumption by up to 70% compared to traditional control systems. The Altivar 212 also features a cable temperature rise reduction technology, eliminating the need for additional options like line or DC chokes to manage current harmonics.
Weighing in at 10.95kg and with dimensions of 230mm wide, 340mm high, and 208mm deep, this compact drive is ideal for fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings such as HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumping). It adheres to international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions) and is certified by CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick, and NOM.
The Altivar 212 offers optional motor chokes to extend maximum cable lengths between the drive and the motor, reducing disturbance at the motor terminals. It can be mounted vertically on a panel with four fixing holes (+/- 10°).
This variable speed drive is compatible with various building management systems due to its numerous standard integrated functions and communication protocols such as Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, and BACnet.
