The XCSE Key Operated Safety Switch is engineered for the effective management of guard doors, incorporating a locking mechanism actuated by a solenoid. Its adjustable turret head and durable rectangular body, constructed from red coated Zamak, support flexible installation with two Pg 13.5 cable gland entries.

This device is equipped with a set of contacts that includes two normally open and one normally closed slow-break contacts. The contact states are activated by the key insertion, while an additional set of one normally open and one normally closed auxiliary contacts is controlled by the solenoid, with states indicated when the solenoid is de-energized. The safety switch boasts a remarkable B10D reliability figure of 5,000,000 cycles, ensuring durability.

With an IP67 protection rating, it is suitable for demanding environments. Compliance with standards such as EN/ISO 14119, EN/IEC 60204-1, and UL 508 confirms its reliability. When correctly integrated with a safety control unit, the switch achieves Category 4 performance level PL e and SIL 3, adhering to EN/ISO 13849-1 and EN/IEC 61508. The switch operates effectively within a supply voltage range of 24 V, with a consumption of 7 mA for the signalling circuit.
