The Telemecanique Safety Switch, model XCS, is a robust solution designed to convert mechanical motion into an electrical control signal. This switch features 2 normally closed + 1 normally opened, slow break contacts, ensuring reliable operation in hazardous environments.

With a rated operational current of 1.5A at 240V AC, 3A at 120V AC, 0.27A at 250V DC, and 0.55A at 125V DC, this switch is designed to handle demanding applications. It is equipped with screw clamp terminals for electrical connection and 2 cable entry tapped for PG13 cable gland.

The switch offers long mechanical durability, with a lifespan of about 1 million operating cycles. It is IP67 rated, ensuring it can withstand harsh conditions. The key operated turret head limit switch has a rectangular metal body made of Zamak, with dimensions of 98mm (Width) x 44mm (Depth) x 146mm (Height) and weighs 1.14kg.

This safety switch is suitable for all sectors involving dangerous machines, such as packaging, handling, robotics, machine tools, presses, and the automotive sector. It is certified by CSA and UL, meeting CSA C22.2 No 14, EN/IEC 60947-5-1, EN/IEC 60204-1, EN/ISO 12100, EN 1088/ISO 14119 and UL 508 standards. It offers protection of operators by stopping the machine when the actuator attached to the machine guard is withdrawn from the head of the switch.
