The XS range includes inductive proximity sensors that enable the detection of metal objects without physical contact, thereby preventing wear and allowing for the detection of delicate or freshly painted items. This miniature cylindrical sensor, with a diameter of 5mm and a thread size of M5 x 0.5, is flush mountable and constructed from stainless steel, ensuring durability in industrial environments.
It is equipped with a male M8 connector and operates at a voltage range of 5V to 24V DC, featuring a three-wire setup. The sensor provides a normally open (NO) function with an NPN solid-state output, capable of handling a switching capacity of up to 100 mA with overload and short-circuit protection. The nominal sensing distance is 0.8mm, with an operational zone ranging from 0 to 0.6mm.
Additionally, the sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 5000 Hz and a maximum delay response of 1ms. With an IP67 rating conforming to IEC 60529, it is protected against dust and immersion in water. The sensor operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C and can withstand vibrations up to 25 gn and shocks of 50 gn.
This product is compliant with various sustainability standards, including CE marking and environmental disclosures, making it a suitable choice for applications requiring reliable and eco-friendly solutions. The Designation Code is included for reference.
