The KTB FS 484820 S4E4 is an empty enclosure designed for terminal applications, constructed from stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) with an electropolished surface. This enclosure measures 480 mm in height and width, and 200 mm in depth, making it suitable for various industrial environments.

Featuring gland plates on the bottom, top, left, and right, this terminal box allows for flexible installation. The internal structure includes a welded-on M6 stainless steel earth stud and a continuous M10 earth stud, ensuring effective grounding. The design adheres to the DIN EN 62208 standard for empty enclosures and meets several classification standards, including ATEX and IECEx for explosive atmospheres.

With a maximum payload of 92 kg and impact resistance ratings of 7 J for the ATEX version and 10 J for the standard version, the KTB FS 484820 S4E4 is engineered for demanding applications in explosive risk zones, process industries, and offshore installations. The enclosure maintains a protection degree of IP66 and IP67, ensuring it is impervious to dust and water ingress.

Temperature resilience ranges from -60 °C to 135 °C, with a material thickness of 1.5 mm for the enclosure and cover, and 3 mm for the flange. The product is equipped with four welded-on mounting feet, facilitating secure installation.
