The KTB FS 916115 S4E3 is a terminal box designed for industrial applications, featuring an empty enclosure constructed from stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) with an electropolished finish. Its dimensions are 914 mm in height, 610 mm in width, and 150 mm in depth, making it suitable for a variety of mounting configurations.
This enclosure is equipped with gland plates on the bottom, left, and right sides, facilitating cable entry from multiple directions. The internal design includes a welded-on M6 stainless-steel earth stud as well as a continuous M10 earth stud, ensuring effective grounding. The unit complies with multiple standards including DIN EN 62208 and IEC 60079 series, indicating its suitability for use in explosive environments, particularly in the process, oil and gas, and chemical industries.
With a maximum payload capacity of 223 kg and an impact resistance rating of 7 J for ATEX versions, this terminal box operates efficiently within a temperature range of -60 °C to 135 °C. The enclosure also offers a protection degree of IP66 and IP67, providing robust protection against dust and water ingress. The lid is secured by M6 hex-head slotted screws, requiring a torque of 2.5 Nm for proper attachment.
For mounting, the enclosure features four welded-on mounting feet with slotted holes, facilitating secure installation. The KTB FS 916115 S4E3 is classified under the ETIM and EClass systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
