The Allen Bradley 1734-IE8C is an industrial input module designed for use in Allen Bradley’s ControlLogix series of programmable automation controllers. This module is designed to provide eight separate input points to the system, each of which can be configured to accept a variety of input types, including thermocouples, RTD’s, and DC voltage and current inputs. The module also offers several isolation options, including isolation of each input point from the backplane, and a common-mode isolation of up to 2,500 volts.

The 1734-IE8C is a digital module, with each input point providing 24-bit resolution and over-voltage protection up to 32 volts. This module is also capable of detecting and logging both under-voltage and over-voltage conditions in order to help the system diagnose and handle any issues. The module is capable of detecting up to 16 different fault conditions, and can log up to 8 different events for each input point.

The 1734-IE8C is designed for use in a variety of industrial automation applications, and is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -40 to +60 degrees Celsius. This module is intended for use in a variety of ControlLogix systems, and is compatible with most of the major industrial communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and ControlNet. In order to ensure the module is always operating as efficiently as possible, it also features an integrated auto-calibration function, which can be used to automatically calibrate the module’s inputs.
