The U-Line Contender Factory Sealed 20 Amp Plugs and Receptacles (PN ENR12201GFISA) are engineered for use in hazardous environments, ensuring safety and reliability. These devices feature a dead front design which prevents accidental contact with live parts, making them suitable for electrical equipment in various hazardous locations.

The neoprene gasket located in the throat of the receptacle effectively seals against both the plug and the spring-loaded cover, providing protection against water, dust, and corrosive substances. While U-Line plugs can interface with standard receptacles, the design of U-Line receptacles ensures they cannot be energized by an ordinary plug, enhancing safety in critical applications.

These plugs and receptacles meet various hazardous area classifications, including Class I, Groups C and D; Class I, Division 2, Group B; and Class II, Groups F and G, among others. They are rated for 20 amperes and can operate at voltages of 125 Vac or 250 Vac. The components are constructed from durable materials: the mounting boxes are made of malleable iron with a triple coat finish, while the standard receptacle covers are made of copper-free aluminum with an epoxy powder coat. The insulator block is crafted from glass-filled reinforced polyester, ensuring robust performance in demanding conditions.
