The UPR Series 16 Amp Plugs and Sockets are engineered for applications in corrosive atmospheres, specifically suitable for installations in Zone 1 and 2, as well as Zones 21 and 22. These devices feature a mechanical interlock system that prevents disengagement while energized, ensuring enhanced safety during operation. The plugs can be utilized safely in both hazardous and non-hazardous locations, providing versatility in their application.

Constructed from polyamide, these plugs and sockets exhibit a strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant design. They are rated for an operating temperature range from -20 °C to +55 °C, and can accommodate various voltage ratings including 100/130 Vac, 200/250 Vac, 380/415 Vac, 480/500 Vac, and 600/690 Vac. The product supports configurations with 2 to 3 poles and 3 to 5 wires, operating at frequencies of 50/60 Hz. The UPR Series meets the Ex II 2 GD classification and is rated with an IP66 protection class and IK09 impact rating.
