The Class 3400 (H34) Smart Meters are designed for advanced energy monitoring, featuring dual protocol communications that enable connection with up to two energy monitoring systems simultaneously. This capability includes integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and tools for Measurement and Verification (M&V) reporting.

With an optional expanded feature package, this meter provides built-in load control functions and two pulse outputs for measuring kWh and kVARh. The device is equipped with a user-friendly 4-line LCD display that includes a backlight, facilitating easy reading of data.

The meter operates within a wide range of environmental conditions, with a minimum operating temperature of -4 °F (-20 °C) and a maximum of 122 °F (50 °C). It is compliant with regulatory standards such as ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL, ensuring reliable performance in commercial and industrial applications.

With an accuracy of ±1% across the range of 1% to 100% of rated load, it effectively monitors electrical usage with its two split-core current sensors. The Class 3400 is suitable for both single phase and two phase (two element) configurations and supports communication protocols like EZ-7 and Modbus TCP/IP.
