The 3400 Smart Submeter is engineered for precise energy monitoring in commercial and industrial environments. It supports both 1 and 2 phase configurations and can handle currents up to 800 A, functioning efficiently across a voltage range of 120/208-240 V AC.

This submeter integrates advanced dual protocol communications, facilitating simultaneous connectivity with up to two energy monitoring systems, which can include Building Automation Systems (BAS) and various billing or Measurement & Verification (M&V) reporting tools. An optional expanded feature package enhances functionality with built-in load control features and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh measurements.

The device is equipped with a 4-line LCD display featuring backlight capabilities, ensuring clear visibility of consumption data. Communication options include RS485 and Ethernet protocols, making integration into existing systems straightforward. The Class 3400 complies with ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL regulatory standards.

With an operating temperature range from -4 °F to 122 °F and a humidity tolerance of up to 95% non-condensing, the submeter is well-suited for various environmental conditions. Additionally, it features a split-core current sensor output with a precision accuracy of ±1% across its rated load.
