The Class 3400 Smart Meters, identified by the designation code H34, are equipped with advanced dual protocol communications, facilitating simultaneous interaction with two energy monitoring systems. These systems may include Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy monitoring, billing programs, and Measurement & Verification (M&V) reporting tools. An optional feature package provides built-in load control functions and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh measurements.

Featuring a large 4-line LCD display with backlight, the meter offers RS485 and Ethernet communication options. The device is designed for versatility, accommodating either 1 or 2-phase configurations with a current capacity of 800 A and input voltage configuration of 347/600 V AC. Its robust design meets regulatory approvals including ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL standards.

With an accuracy rating of ±1% across a load range of 1% to 100%, the Class 3400 provides reliable performance in commercial and industrial applications. It also features a split-core current sensor output of 2 V and is rated for operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -4 °F (-20 °C) to 122 °F (50 °C), with a maximum humidity tolerance of 95% non-condensing.
