The Class 5000 (H50) Smart Meter is designed to facilitate advanced dual protocol communications, allowing it to interface with multiple energy monitoring systems simultaneously. This includes integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy monitoring, billing programs, and Measurement & Verification (M&V) reporting tools.

Equipped with a large 4-line LCD display featuring a backlight, the device supports RS485 and Ethernet communications. It adheres to regulatory approvals such as ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL standards. The Class 5000 meter is constructed with a JIC steel enclosure and measures 6.5 inches in width, 7.8 inches in height, and 3.4 inches in depth, weighing 7.78 pounds. It operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from -4 °F (-20 °C) to 122 °F (50 °C) with a maximum relative humidity of 95% non-condensing.

This meter is fully electronic, delivering accurate readings within ±1% from 1% to 100% of its rated load. It includes two split-core current sensors and is capable of handling input voltage configurations of 230/400 V AC, with options for both single phase and two phase configurations.
