The Niagara Device is a versatile industrial controller designed to facilitate seamless data exchange between controllers. It features 1+1 Ethernet interfaces (1 x Isolated & 1 x Switched), 2 RS485 interfaces, an HMI port, and I/O Expansion capabilities.

Networking Capabilities:

The device supports Daisy Chain Connection and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) via multiple switched IP ports, ensuring network redundancy. It also features automatic IP assignment through DHCP for seamless network integration.

Communication Features:

All RS485 channels support Panel Bus, BACnet™ MS/TP, Modbus RTU, and M-Bus protocols, enhancing integration with various systems. The device also supports peer-to-peer communication for efficient data exchange.

Connectivity Options:

The Niagara Device offers RJ11 interface for connecting HMI devices during field operations and Touchflake connectors for the addition of RS485 I/O modules. It also features multi-color LEDs to display operational statuses of RS485 communications, HMI device, Ethernet connections, and controller service state.

Powered by an industrial-grade i.MX 8M Plus quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor running at 1.2 GHz, the device ensures high-performance processing. It runs on Ubuntu Core OS with a modular, container-based design for enhanced cybersecurity. The device also features Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) to store live controller data, maintaining the last known values during power interruptions.
