The IXYS MCC162-14IO1B Bipolar Thyristor Module is designed for robust and efficient power control in various industrial applications. Featuring a planar passivated chip and Direct Copper Bonded (DCB) Al2O3-ceramic base plate, this module ensures long-term stability and advanced power cycling capabilities. It is suitable for line rectifying at 50/60 Hz, soft start AC motor control, DC motor control, power converters, AC power control, and lighting and temperature control.

This module is housed in a Y4-M6 package, offering reduced weight and industry-standard outline. It is RoHS compliant and includes soldering pins for PCB mounting. The MCC162-14IO1B can operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it versatile for various environmental conditions.

With a maximum off-state voltage of 1.4 kV and a gate trigger voltage of 2.5 V, this module provides reliable performance. It supports a maximum on-state current of 300 A (RMS) and 181 A (average), with a non-repetitive surge current capacity of up to 6480 A. The isolation voltage is rated at 3600 V, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
