Keyence PZ-G42N

The Keyence PZ-G42N is a square reflective photoelectric sensor designed for short-range detection applications. Featuring a built-in amplifier and NPN output, this sensor ensures accurate and reliable performance in various industrial environments. The rectangular shape and cable connection make it easy to integrate into existing systems.

Equipped with a red LED light source and a 1-turn trimmer for sensitivity adjustment, the PZ-G42N provides a detecting distance of up to 300 mm when sensing 10 x 10 cm white paper. The sensor's response time is a swift 500 µs, and it offers selectable LIGHT-ON/DARK-ON operation modes. LED indicators for output and stable operation ensure clear status visibility.

The PZ-G42N features robust protection circuits, including reversed polarity, overcurrent protection, and surge absorber, enhancing its durability. Interference suppression allows up to two units to operate simultaneously with automatic different frequency function.

Built to withstand harsh conditions, the sensor boasts an IP67 enclosure rating and compliance with NEMA 4A, 6, 12 and DIN IP69K standards. It operates reliably in ambient light conditions up to 20,000 lux and temperatures ranging from -20 to +55 °C. The sensor's housing is made from glass-fibre reinforced PBT, while the lens cover is constructed from polyarylate (PAR).
