The Size 73 Protistor® fuse-link operates at a rated voltage of 690 VAC and is designed to handle 1600 A, providing critical protection for power conversion equipment. The fuse-link features an ultra-fast acting aR characteristic, essential for safeguarding semiconductor devices such as diodes, thyristors, and IGBT components.

Constructed with die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, the fuse-link minimizes arcing characteristics, resulting in a lower I²t and a high interrupting rating of 150 kA. The body is made from ceramic, ensuring durability, while the connection terminals are silver-plated brass, enhancing conductivity and reducing corrosion. Additionally, the fuse-link can be equipped with a low voltage trip-indicator, compatible with a field mountable microswitch, allowing for effective monitoring.

This Protistor® fuse-link is available in various mounting styles, ensuring flexibility in equipment design and installation. The melting I²t value is rated at 1430 kA²s, with a power dissipation of 203 W at the rated current value. The product is suitable for various applications, aligning with IEC and UL standards.
