The 3 pole male XLR receptacle is engineered with a separate ground contact that connects to both the mating connector shell and the front panel, enhancing grounding efficiency. This model incorporates a steel retention lug and is intended for horizontal PCB mounting.

It is part of the B Series and differs from the A series by including a metal mounting flange that provides continuous circumferential ground contact to the chassis, following best practices for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). This component is a UL recognized part, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.

Technical specifications include a temperature range from -30 °C to +80 °C and a protection class of IP 40. Its design allows for a rated current of 6 A and a rated voltage of less than 50 V. The receptacle also offers excellent electrical performance with a contact resistance of ≤ 6 mΩ and a dielectric strength of 1.5 kVdc.

Constructed from high-quality materials, the contacts are made of brass (CuZn35Pb2), while the insert is polyamide (PA 6.6 30 % GR). The locking element is crafted from steel Ck67, and the flange is made from black diecast zinc (ZnAl4Cu1). With a lifetime exceeding 1000 mating cycles, this receptacle is designed for durability and reliability.
