These switches are suitable for environments where ignitable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts are present, such as in chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, and various process industries. The model PN N7103209 is built with a malleable iron body and covers, combined with a nylon 6/6 handle, ensuring durability and reliability.

In terms of finish, these switches feature a triple-coat process that includes zinc electroplating, chromate treatment, and an epoxy powder coat, providing enhanced corrosion resistance. Optional materials include 1- or 2-gang copper-free aluminum bodies and covers. Additionally, a corrosion-resistant stainless steel nameplate mounting bracket can be implemented to facilitate easy circuit identification without requiring field modifications.
