This backplane expander is a component of the Modicon M340 series, an assortment of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC). It is specifically designed for multirack configurations and is suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions.
Operating within a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C, this ruggedized accessory features a current consumption of 160 mA at 24V DC and 22 mA at 3.3V DC. It includes two 9-way SUB-D female connectors for electrical interfacing and is rated IP20, providing essential protection in industrial settings.
Conforming to multiple standards including EN 61131-2 and EN 61000-6-4, the expander meets the requirements for severe environments, making it compatible with various Modicon backplane models such as BMXXBP1200, BMXXBP0800, BMXXBP0600, and BMXXBP0400.
