This 5 pole male XLR receptacle is engineered with a separate ground contact that connects to the mating connector shell and the front panel, facilitating horizontal PCB mounting. The design mirrors that of the A series, with the notable addition of a metal mounting flange that ensures continuous circumferential ground contact to the chassis, enhancing EMC compliance.

Constructed to meet stringent standards, this product complies with IEC 61076-2-103 and offers a protection class of IP 40. The receptacle operates effectively within a temperature range of -30 °C to +80 °C, making it suitable for various environmental conditions.

In terms of electrical performance, it maintains a capacitance of ≤ 7 pF between contacts and a contact resistance of ≤ 6 mΩ, with a dielectric strength of 1.5 kVdc and an insulation resistance exceeding 10 GΩ initially. Each contact is rated for a current of 3 A and a voltage under 50 V.

Mechanically, the receptacle features an insertion and withdrawal force of ≤ 20 N, ensuring ease of use over a lifetime exceeding 1000 mating cycles. It includes a latch lock for secure connections and is designed for rear mounting with A-screw fastening.

The materials used in its construction include brass for the contacts, polyamide for the insert, steel for the locking element, and zinc diecast for the ring, with a nickel finish on the flange.
