Type S NEMA motor starters are designed for the full voltage starting and stopping of AC squirrel cage motors, offering ratings up to 810 amperes.
This particular unit is a non-reversing starter, designated as NEMA Size 3, with a current rating of 90A. It exhibits performance characteristics including 25 HP at 200 VAC, 30 HP at 230 VAC and 50 HP at 460/575 VAC for three-phase applications.
The starter incorporates a Motor Logic overload relay with an adjustable range of 30A to 90A, providing protection against overcurrent conditions. It achieves a maximum Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) of 100kA, as defined by UL508A, when utilized in conjunction with an appropriate circuit breaker or fuse.
Featuring replaceable coils available across a broad spectrum of voltages, this starter is equipped with a 110/120 VAC, 50/60 Hz operating coil configured for separate control. The device is supplied as an open unit, lacking an enclosure and measuring 11.09 inches in height, 5.47 inches in width, and 6.50 inches in depth.
A comprehensive selection of accessories are readily available to complement Type S starters. These units are both UL listed and CSA certified, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
